COUNSELLING
Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and begin understanding your experience with greater curiosity and compassion. As an integrative counsellor, I work relationally, drawing on a range of approaches to support what is unique about each person. My work is informed by a particular interest in Jungian psychology and the relationship between the body, the psyche and the imaginal.
Whether you're living with anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, questions of identity, challenges around neurodiversity, or food and body image, therapy offers an opportunity to explore what has brought you here, and what might be asking to change. My hope is not simply to reduce suffering, but to support a relationship with yourself that is more conscious, embodied and authentic.
How I work
I work integratively, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches while remaining grounded in the uniqueness of each person and the therapeutic relationship. Alongside conversation, I am interested in the ways our bodies, emotions, imagination and unconscious patterns shape our experience. Where appropriate, I may invite gentle embodied awareness, dream exploration or symbolic reflection. These are not techniques to be applied, but different ways of listening to what is asking to be understood.
Therapy isn't about becoming someone else. Its about cultivating a deeper relationship with who you already are.

yoga
Yoga has been a central part of my life for over twenty years and continues to inform both my personal practice and my work as a counsellor.
My teaching moves beyond physical postures alone, inviting a deeper relationship with the body through breath, awareness and compassionate attention. Whether you're completely new to yoga or returning to your mat, my intention is to create a space where you can slow down, reconnect with yourself, and explore movement in a way that feels supportive and meaningful.
Although counselling and yoga are offered separately, both are rooted in the same understanding that lasting change emerges through a compassionate relationship with the whole person.
workshops & courses
Throughout the year I offer workshops exploring themes including yoga, embodiment, symbolism, Jungian psychology, mythology, and The Awakening Body. These spaces combine teaching, reflection and experiential practice, creating opportunities to explore ourselves in community as well as individually.
Upcoming workshops will be announced on the Events page.
The Awakening Body continues to evolve and in the future I hope to offer online courses, guided practices, a membership community and professional trainings exploring the relationship between body, psyche and imagination.
If you'd like to hear when these become available, you can join my mailing list via the form at the bottom of this page.
FAQs

The initial consultation is an opportunity for us to meet, for you to ask any questions you may have, and to get a sense of whether I feel like the right counsellor for you. It's also a chance for me to gain a brief understanding of what has brought you to therapy and to determine whether I have the appropriate experience to support you.
Initial consultations last 30 minutes and can take place either online or via phone.
There is no charge for an initial consultation and no obligation to continue with therapy.

Sessions are 50 minutes long.

Both! Your sessions can be arranged either online via Zoom, or in person at my therapy room in Minehead.

Therapy isn't something that can be prescribed in advance. Some people come with a particular issue they would like support with, while others are looking for a deeper exploration of themselves and their lives.
We'll regularly reflect together on how the work is progressing and whether therapy continues to feel helpful. My aim is to offer a space that supports your growth, not to encourage you to stay longer than you need.
-
Not always. Therapy with me isn't about following a fixed method. Some sessions may remain entirely conversational, while others might include gentle invitations to become more aware of your body's experience through breath, sensation, imagination or simple embodied awareness. We'll always work at a pace that feels safe and appropriate for you, and any embodied practices are offered as invitations rather than expectations.
-
That's completely okay. You don't need to know how therapy works or arrive with everything neatly worked out. Your only job is to show up.
We'll take things one conversation at a time, beginning wherever feels most natural. Some people arrive knowing exactly why they're seeking therapy; others simply know that something doesn't feel quite right. Both are equally welcome.
My role is to create a space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin exploring your experience with curiosity and compassion.
