COUNSELLING | YOGA | THE AWAKENING BODY

Welcome

I'm an integrative counsellor, senior yoga teacher, and lifelong student of what it means to be human. My work is rooted in a particular interest in Jungian psychology and the intersections of the body, the psyche and the imaginal. For over twenty years I have explored how our lives become organised into patterns that shape the way we think, feel, relate, move and experience the world. Through my work as a counsellor, alongside years of teaching yoga and studying embodiment, symbolism, Tantra and nervous system science, I came to recognise that these are not separate disciplines, but different ways of understanding the same human experience.

I offer counselling to people seeking a space to explore themselves with curiosity, compassion and depth. My hope is not simply to help alleviate suffering, but to support a relationship with yourself that is more conscious, embodied and authentic. Perhaps you're here because something in your life no longer feels sustainable. You may be living with anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, or feeling disconnected from yourself. Perhaps your relationship with food or your body has become a source of distress. Or maybe there's simply a quiet sense that there is more to who you are than the patterns you've found yourself living. Whatever has brought you here, you're welcome.

The Awakening Body is the living framework that has grown from this work. It isn't a method or a theory, but a way of understanding human experience that informs everything I do, whether in the therapy room, on the yoga mat, or through my writing.

If you're looking for a therapist, I'd be honoured to walk alongside you.

For over twenty years I have explored one enduring question:

What does it truly mean to be human?

The Awakening Body is the living framework that emerged from that exploration. It brings together embodiment, counselling, Jungian psychology, Tantra, nervous system science, and the imaginal, not as separate disciplines, but as different languages describing the same human experience.

Rather than asking, "What's wrong with me?", The Awakening Body asks:

How has my experience become organised?

This is because our lives don't “simply happen” - they organise themselves into patterns. Those patterns shape how we think, feel, relate, move, imagine, and participate in the world. When we begin to understand those patterns, something changes. And not because we become someone new, but because we begin participating in our lives differently.

    Writings

Ideas have a way of finding us before they fully make sense.

Here I share essays exploring embodiment, Jungian psychology, symbolism, the nervous system, Tantra, and the deeper patterns that organise human experience. Some pieces are practical and others are reflective. Together they form an ongoing conversation about what it means to be human.
